OX-BoW 3D Archery Course
Adjacent to the over 200-year-old Stolzenhof, a former estate of the Götz von Berlichingen family, you will find the OX-BoW 3D Archery Course. The archery course is run by Jochem Vogt, who for many years has enriched archery in the region with numerous events, such as trade fairs and tournaments.
The OX-BoW Archery Course and the Landscape
The course impresses scenically through the many open meadows and mountain forest. Both beginners and experienced shooters get their money’s worth at 33 stations with a wide variety of 3D animals and 3D animal groups. The shooting distances are all hunting distances, i. up to a maximum of 30 meters. Numerous shot windows make some shot a challenge.
The course is rebuilt at least twice a year, so that boredom is not borne especially for regulars. The circular route has a length of about 5 km and is easily accessible. Especially in bad weather hiking shoes are recommended, but always a sturdy footwear. Signs mark the entire course course, so that a bleeding is not possible. Colored shooting pegs mark the specified shooting direction. About halfway there is a rest stop with a hut and an tipi, where you can take a break.
In addition to the course, there is also a shooting range that can be used all year round and at any time. There is also an archery cinema that can be used by prior arrangement.
Opening Hours, Prices & Registration
The course may be used at any time, but only with sufficient daylight. In summer, the shooting is to end at 21:00. The registration takes place by the visitors independently at the cashbox. The course fee is a daily fee and includes the use of the adjoining shooting hall. Adults pay 15, – EUR, youths (10-17 years) 7, – EUR and children up to 9 years are free. If you want to use the OX-BoW 3D Archery Course, generally you must bringyour own bow equipment. However, bow equipment is also available for rent on previous request.

This is a daily fee for the archery course and the shooting hall.
The fee must be paid in cash and brought with you. The registration takes place independently.

A lap is about 4 km long and it must be planned about 2-4 hours.
The hilly terrain is characterized by meadows and forest.
Compound bows are allowed! Maximum draw weight 60 lbs., max. arrow speed 300 fps.
There are no hunting or blunt tips allowed!
Dogs may be brought along the course, but are to be kept on a leash.
Only drinks are available on site. The existing barbecue area can be used after prior registration. Charocoal is to bring your own.
There are also several restaurants in the village.
Sanitary facilities are available below the parking lot in the clubhouse.
